About Veracana
A sugar export house built on verification.
Veracana (from vera, “true”, and cana, “cane”) exists to give international buyers what the online sugar market often lacks: a counterparty they can check.
Why we exist
The trade is professional. Much of the online market is not.
Brazil’s sugar exports are handled by mills and established trading houses that work on standard contracts, bank instruments and independent inspection.
Around them, a large online market of unverifiable offers has grown: anonymous intermediaries, “procedures” built on letters of intent, requests for advance fees and recycled documents. Buyers lose time and money, and genuine suppliers lose trust.
Veracana works the other way round. We publish who we are, how we trade and how to check us, and we contract on the same terms as the established trade, from a single container upwards.
